Welcome to Salon Serene. My name is Serene Norris, and I have been a Hair Stylist and Colorist since 1998. I received my education from Gene Juarez in Seattle, WA. I have trained with color lines Wella, Goldwell, Redken, Paul Mitchell, and Clairol in my years. I have been certified with DevaCurl in their curl cutting technical in New York and citified with Brazilian Blowout, Keratin Treatments. In years past, I have traveled to Las Vegas to train with Toni & Guy Hair Products and Salt Lake to train with Wella Color were two great experiences for me. I have worked for and traveled with Smash Box Cosmetics down the West Coast. I have trained with MAC cosmetics as a MAC pro! I entered a WA state competition in the earlier years and won 1st place in the evening makeup application. I have owned my own business since 2009 and am currently working in Duvall, WA.
What I love about this industry most of all is the fantastic people. I have had the privilege to meet incredibly talented people and learn from them. There is no measure to the amount of pleasure I receive when I give someone a look or feel they have needed or missed in their hair. The love and friendship you create with your clients are in the true definition of the word “Awesome.”
I live in Duvall with my husband, Jerrod, and our two handsome sons, Cade and Colt. Jerrod and I have been together since 1996! I am proud to say he was my high school sweetheart. Jerrod was in his first year of the Army, and I, a senior in high school the year we met. He took me to prom, and before I knew it, we married in January of 2002. Jerrod is a fireman for South Snohomish County Fire. We are firm believers in following your dreams and do what makes you happy! Our family loves the Duvall community, and we are very involved. Jerrod has coached with our local Jr. Red Wolves Football and Cedarcrest High School football teams. I have been a part of Stillwater Elementary, Tolt Middle School, and Cedarcrest High School PTSA’s off and on since 2009. We love our Family, Friends, Community, and Careers.
